Feelings from Stuttgart

Olen takaisin kotona paljon uutta oppineena ja hyvän kokemuksen jälkeen. 

Oli hyvä viikonloppu kaikenkaikkiaan! hevoset hyppäsivät hienosti ja olivat hyvässä vedossa. Onni hyppäsi elämänsä ensimmäisen 150cm luokan lauantaina. Ei mennyt ihan suunnitelmien mukaisesti, luokka oli iso 150cm luokka ja vaikeampi mitä olin ajatellut. Alkuradasta edettiin ihan hyvin, parilla virheillä mutta ihan hyvällä fiiliksellä, mutta loppurata oli liian vaikea meille ja virheen jälkeen okserilla päätin keskeyttää. Onni tuntui hyvältä enkä halunnut että se kokee tehtävän liian vaikeaksi. Näin jälkeenpäin olen sitä mieltä että luokka oli liian vaikea ekaksi 150cm luokaksi mutta jälkiviisaus ei auta:) Nyt pitää löytää lisää kisoja missä voitaisiin hypätä helpompia 150cm luokkia ja kerätä lisää rutiinia. Onni hyppää jo niin hyvin 145cm luokkia joten se askel on vaan otettava.

Vaillant tuntui todella hyvältä koko viikonlopun. Perjantaina oli super hieno ja treenattiin kunnolla vielä lauantaina ja sunnuntai aamuna. V tuntui tosi hyvältä myös World Cupissa. Hyppy oli super hieno ja ilmava. En itse vaan ollut tarpeeksi keskittynyt, tein turhia pikkuvirheitä. Ratsastin vähän liian pitkillä ohjilla ja ratsastus ei ollut tarpeeksi tarkkaa. Se sitten kostautui 12virhepisteellä. Sillä tasolla ei ole varaa yhteenkään virheeseen. En ole tyytyväinen mutta en pettynytkään, fiilis oli ihan hyvä ja tuntui kuitenkin siltä että kun saan vielä pikkujutut kuntoon niin voidaan oikeasti olla mukana kisaamassa kärkipaikoista. Eli lisää rutiinia vaan tällä tasolla niin eiköhän ne nappisuorituksetkin tulevat! Nyt vaan etsimään uusia kisoja ja keräämään lisää kokemusta tältä tasolta!

Ollaan kotona Ronjan ja Fillen luona. Ihanaa! Oli niin kauhea ikävä heitä koko reissun aikana. Viikon päästä lähden siskojeni ja äidin kanssa New Yorkiin, sitä odotellessa!

I'm back home with a lot of thoughts and a lot of new experience. It was a good weekend all in all, I'm happy about how the horses felt and how they jumped. Onni did his first 150cm on Saturday and it didn't really go as planned. The beginning was okay, no bigger mistakes a couple of poles but as we continued it became to difficult for us, in the end I decided to retire. He jumped well and was brave just didn't want to scare him after a mistake on an oxer in the end of the track. Now afterwards I feel like it was too difficult for his first 150cm, need to search for some more easier ones to get him set on that level. He does already so well on 145cm.

 As I told you previously, Vaillant felt really good on Friday. Worked him properly on Saturday and in the morning on Sunday.  He did also feel good in the World Cup. The jump was amazing and he was really up for the task. I just feel that I wasn't focused enough myself, no big mistakes but  on that level you can't afford any mistakes. It was not an easy track and with 12faults I can't be happy but I'm not disappointed either. I was riding with a bit too long reins and wasn't precise enough. But the feeling was really good, and I'm very happy how Vaillant felt.  So now we just need to look for some more shows to go to and get some more experience from!

Now I'm back home and so happy to see my loves Ronja and Fille again. Missed them like crazy. In a week I'm off to New York with mom and my sisters. Looking forward to that!

Happy with today.

Eilen tuli liikaa puomeja, piste. En ollut tyytyväinen omaan ratsastukseen Onnin kanssa ja V oli turhan vahva. 

Tänään oli kuitenkin parempi päivä. Hepat oli loistavia. Onni sai yhden turhan puomin sarjan A oalla 145 luokassa. V oli super, teimme semi rauhallisen nollan 150 luokassa. Sain sen hyvin läpiratsastetuksi päivällä ja se tuotti tulosta illalla. Emme olleet sijoittuneet mutta hyvällä fiiliksellä jatketaan! Huomenna Onni hyppää ekan 150 radan ikinä. Vaillantilla ei ole mitään luokkaa huomenna. 

Kivaa viikonloppua teille!! Kirjoitan varmaan huomenna taas miten on mennyt.

Pizza time!

Yesterday we had to many poles down. I wasn't happy with my own riding, especially with Onni and I had V a bit to strong. Today was a better day, the horses jumped super good! Onni had one down in the 145 at the A part of the combination. V was clear but not that fast in the 150. No placings but I'm happy! I got a better feeling with V after I rode him in the day and got him very relaxed, that paid off in the class. Tomorrow Onni will do his first 150 class ever and V has a now show, just flat work.

Saavuin tänään aamulla Stuttgartiin. Hevoset olivat matkustaneet hyvin ja tuntuivat oikein virkeiltä! Kisapaikka vaikuttaa tosi kivalta ja areena on aika iso, etenkin kun ajattelee että kyseessä on hallikisa. Me ollaan ensimmäisten joukossa täällä kisapaikalla, suurin osa tulee huomenna vasta joten ollaan saatu rauhassa tutustua paikkoihin ja ratsastamaan areenalla. Huomenna sitten alkaa rumba kun loput saapuu. 

Ajattelin ratsastaa hevoset heti aamulla niin että vielä huomisen treeni saadaan tehdä rauhassa ja niin että on paljon tilaa areenalla.  Illalla klo 17.00 alkaa sitten eläinlääkärin tarkastus joten ennen sitä kaikkien pitäisi saapua.

It's pretty empty here right now but not for so long!

I arrived today in the morning to Stuttgart. The horses had been traveling well and they felt very fresh today when I rode them. The show ground seems very nice and the competition arena is very big. Especially when you consider that this is an indoor show! We are amongst the first ones here at the show grounds so it has been nice and calm here today. Most riders and horses will arrive tomorrow so that's when the hassle begins. It's been nice to be here so much in advance, we have had time to train at the competition arena thoroughly and been able to take our time at the arena, with no hurry and not 50 other to watch out for. I'm planning to ride the horses in the morning tomorrow, just so that we get to train again when everybody hasn't already arrived . The vet check is at 17.00 tomorrow evening so everybody will have to arrive before that!

Huomenna on aikainen herätys. Minä ja äiti lähdetään kohti Stuttgartia. Päivällä olemme jo kisapaikalla ja ehdin hyvin ratsastaa hepat. Tulee hirmu ikävä Ronjaa ja Filleä!! 

Odotan innolla että pääsen taas kisaamaan, toivotaan parasta!

It is an early morning for me and mum tomorrow. We will arrive at the show ground late noon and I will have plenty of time to ride the horses. 

I will miss Fille and Ronja a lot!!

Trying some dresses for the big day!

Ratsastuksen jälkeen lähdin stadille kokeilee häämekkoja, ensimmäistä kertaa! Se oli oikein hauskaa ja sain hyviä ideoita mitä mekossa kaipaan. Kaikki siskokset olivat mukana, ja he olivat oikeasti avuksi sillä en ihan tiedä mitä etsin. 

Mikä on teidän mielestä kiva mekko, bling-bling, simppeli, classy tai kermakakku? Itse tykkään aika simppelistä jossa on joku tosi kiva yksityiskohta...

Hmm... What to choose ...

After riding I drove to the city to try on some wedding dresses. It was a lot of fun and I got a lot better idea of what I want in a dress. All my three sisters were with me, they helped a lot and were judges of what to wear and what not to wear.

What's your favorite dress, cake, bling-bling, simple or classy? My favorite in all clothes is usually simple with a super cool detail.

Ihanaa olla kotona, kerrankin vähän aikasemmin kuin normaalisti. Nyt illalla on kaveri time :). Hyvää illanjatkoa teille!

Ainiin, hepat lähtivät tänään kohti Stuttgartia, toivottavasti matka sujuu mutkattomasti.

Todays training!

Tänään olen ratsastanut kaikki omat hevoset sekä käynyt Nissalassa valmentamassa. Koska Suomessa ei ole niin paljon kisoja enää niin voidaan nyt keskittyä valmennettavieni kanssa enemmän kontrolliin, hyvään tasapainoon ja hevosten hyppyyn sekä ratsastajien istuntaan. 

Tänään hyppättin yhtä pitkää linjaa, sekä rytmitreeni kavaleteilla. Tärkeintä tehtävässä on että hevoset pysyvät suorina, hyppäävät keskellä estettä ja pysyvät hyvässä rytmissa keskittyen hyppyyn ja hypyn laatuun. Päivän tehtävän ratapiirrustus löytyy alempana! Tämä on aika rankka treeni hevosille joten täytyy muistaa antaa hevosille hyvin hengähdystaukoa kierroksien välissä.  

Vaillant ja Onni lähtevät huomenna Stuttgartiin, lautta lähtee huomenna Suomesta joten ovat perillä perjantaina Saksassa. Hevoset ajetaan ensiksi Travemünden lähellä olevaan talliin ja sitten sieltä Stuttgartiin lähelle kisapaikkaa, keskiviikkoaamuna viedään kisapaikalle. Lähden itse tiistai aamuna Stuttgartiin, tällä kertaa lähden ilman Ronjaa ja Filleä.

Tosi kivaa että saadaan vielä tämän vuoden puolella edustaa Suomea World Cupissa, odotan innolla kisoja. Hevoset tuntuvat hyvän kuntoisilta joten on kiva päästä kunnon kisoihin keräämään lisää kokemusta ja toivottavasti tekemään hyviä tuloksia :)

Out hacking!

Today I have been riding my own horses and had some trainings at Nissala. Because we don't have so much show in Finland anymore this year we can now concentrate on more control, balance and on the quality of the jump. And of course on the riders seat! 

Today we jumped a line with combinations and a rhythm training on cavalettis. Important in a training like this is to keep the horse straight, see that it jumps in the middle of the fence and making sure that the horse stays in a good rhythm, concentrating on the jump. The rider needs to stay with heels down and upper body in balance, without disturbing the horses jump.  You can see the drawing of todays training further down! This is a pretty hard training for the horses so remember to keep breaks in between the rounds.

Vaillant and Onni will be leaving tomorrow for Stuttgart, the ferry leaves tomorrow and they will be in Germany on Friday. They will first stay in a stable close to Travemünde and then travel to a stable close to the show ground in Stuttgart. On Wednesday we will go to the show. I will fly to Stuttgart on Tuesday morning, this time Fille and Ronja will stay at home, but they will support me from here :) 

I'm excited to get to ride the World Cup in Stuttgart, it is a bit bigger arena than Helsinki, so I think it is going to suit both horses well!
