Prepare for takeoff!

Huomenna kun lähdetään kisoihin on paljon asioita mitä pitää muistaa ja ottaa mukaan. Ajattelin kertoa teille miten minä sen teen ja miten suunnitelen kaiken.

Aloitan aina tarkistamalla että kaikki varmasti on puhdasta, jotta ehtii laittaa pesukoneeseen vielä jos jotain on jäännyt pesemättä ja aloitan sitten niistä kamoista mitä en enää sinä päivänä tarvii. Yritän saada kaikki hepat ratsastettu ennen kun aloitan pakkaamisen niin riittää yksi pakkauskerta :)

Eli perus ratsastus kamat laitan jo sivuun kun ovat putsattu,
eli joka hevosen omat kisasuitset ja kuolaimet sekä satulat.( Niin kun ehkä muistatte niin tämä on joskus unohtunut :)

Tarkistan että on kuivatusloimeja kaikille sekä ratsastastusloimeja niin että kaikille hevosille on omat.   Pakkaan aina loimet eka kaappiin niin on helpompi laittaa satulat ja suitset sitten. Sen jälkeen laitan hoitokamat; harjoja, kaviokoukku, shamppoota, nahkasaippua jne. mukaan. Pienetkin jutut voi olla ärsyttävää olla ilman jos on unohtanut niitä kotiin. Kun pakkaan kaapin niin laitan hevosten passit niin että varmasti tulevat mukaan, joko kaappiin tai heti kuormaautoon. Kun kamat on pakattu niin pakkaan ruuat sekä kottikärryt ja talikon kuormaautoon. Sen jälkeen ei tarvitse kun muistaa omat kisavaatteet, kypärää ja tietysti videokamera!

-Satula, suitset, rintaremmit, suojat

-Hoitotarvikkeet (harjoja, kaviokoukku, shamppoota, satulasaippua, pyyhe jne.)

-Loimet

-Hevosten ruuat
-Kottikärryt ja talikko
-Omat kisakamppeet

-Hevosten passit

-Videokamera

The stable is clean when the whole packing is done!

Cupboard packed and ready!

Tomorrow we are off to Ypäjä to ride the first national show for the year. There is a lot you need to remember to bring with you when you go to a show so I always follow a list I have made and try to do the packing in the same routine every time not to forget anything.

I always start by checking that everything I want to take with me is clean. If it for some reason isn’t I then still have time to put it in the washing machine. Then I start packing all the stuff that I don’t need anymore before we need to leave. I also try to ride all the horses tha need to be ridden before w ego so that I only need to pack once J

I start with the basic riding gear and see that they are clean and put them aside, that means the saddle, bridle, bits and boots. (Like you might remember, ot is totally possible to forget the saddle )

I start by filling up the cupboard with the blankets we need, drying rugs for all horses and competitionrugs for riding. I put them first because the it is easier to fill up with the sadels and the bridles. After that I put all the grooming stuff, brushes, hoofpicker, shampoo, leathersoap etc.

It can be very annoying to leave some of the small stuff at home as well so I try not to forget anything…

When I’m packing the cupboard i also check that I have the horses passports and put them either in the cupboard or take them staright away to the truck.

When all the riding gear is packed, I measure and pack the horses feed and then take a wheelbarrow and fork and pack it all in to the truck. I always take a bit of extra hay with me just in case. When everything is packed for the horses I check my own gear and see that they also are in the truck and then I only need to rememeber the videocamera anymore!

I have a small list that I follow. Here it is:

-Saddles, bridles, boots

-Grooming stuff (brushes, hoofpicker, shampoo, towel etc.)

-Blankets

-Horse feed

-Wheelbarrow + fork

-Helmet, boots, spurs, gloves

-Passports

-Videocamera
