Mixed feelings

Nyt ollaan kotona Westankärrissa. Ollaan molemmat olleet vähän väsyneitä Ronjan kanssa joten kiva päästä tänne ottamaan rennosti. Ajoin melkein koko matkan kotiin Fontainbleun kisoista, joten siitä menee rytmi aika sekaisin. 

Täällä Suomessa on yhtäkkiä tullut kesä, ihanan vihreätä vaikka kivasti helteet loppuivat just sopivasti kun tultiin Suomeen. 

Kisoista jäi vähän epämääräinen fiilis. Haluaisin niin kovasti että koko tiimi olisi vedossa ja pääsisi ihan kunnolla kisaamaan monella hevosella mutta on kyllä vaan todettava että Rex ja Celtas Quela eivät ole ihan siinä kunnossa vielä ja tarvivat vähän enemmän kisoja alle ja yhteistä kokemusta enemmän. Me ei vaan olla ihan valmiita vielä. Enemmän töitä. Kova työ ja systemaattisuus yleensä palkitsee joten täytyy vaan jatkaa kovaa duunia. 

Nyt suunnittelen hevosille vähän alue ja kansallisia startteja Belgiassa että päästään hyvälle polulle taas.

Corellan jalkaa ultrataan tänään, pidetään peukkuja. Jalka on näyttänyt todella hyvältä ja toivoisin niin että se nyt tulisi nopeasti kuntoon. Olisi niin kivaa jos olisi toinen kokenut hevonen mukana lähtölistoilla. Vaillantilta otetaan verikoe ja katsotaan että kaikki arvot ovat kunnossa ja Celtas Quela laitetaan Regumate-kuurille. Sillä on ollut tosi vahva kiima, ja luulen että se oli osasyy viikonlopun käytökselle. Katsotaan miten toimii. 

Olen unohtanut kertoa miten ori Schwarzenegger kehittyy. Se on ollut oikein hieno ja uskallan sillä ehkä kohta kisoihin. Se menee hienosti jo pientä rataa. Mutta niin kuin muittenkin hevosten kanssa otetaan pientä askelta taaksepäin ja keskitytään yhteistyöhön ja tehdään työtä kunnolla. Niin kun se on aikaisemminkin todettu niin hevosten kanssa ei ole oikoteitä.

Illalla meillä on sitten Ronjan kanssa kivaa ohjelmaa tiedossa. Mennään melkein koko perheen kanssa syömään, jopa serkutkin ovat tulossa joten iso jengi kasassa. Siitä tulee hauskaa!

There are these beautiful old oaks at Westankärr, hundreds of years old.

We are now home at Westankärr. W have both been a bit tired with Ronja so it´s nice to get to relax a little bit. I drove almost the whole way home from Fontainbleu, and driving thru the night always messes with the rhythm. 

Here at home in Finland it is full summer, all green already, feels like it changed from spring to summer during the time I was away. 

From the show remains some mixed feelings. I would want so much that the whole team would be ready for big international shows but that isn't the situation. Both Rex and Celtas Quela need more time and experience together with me, and we all just need more teamwork. We are just not there...yet. So more hard work and more systematical training and we will get there, hard work usually pays off.

I'm now planning also some national shows in Belgium for all horses, to get back on track again.

Corellas leg is getting checked with ultra today, lets hope for the best. It has been looking very good. Would be so nice having one more experienced horse in the string at the shows. We are also drawing some blood from Vaillant just to check that everything is in order and Celtas Quela is getting some Regumate, she is in season for the moment and I think that was one of the reasons to her behaviour during the weekend, so lets see how it effects her.

I've forgot to tell how the stallion Schwarzenegger is going. He is developing nicely, already jumping small courses and soon we can probably take him to some small shows. But as with the other horses we will now take baby steps and focus on quality training. As previously said, there is no shortcuts when it comes to horses and showjumping.

In the evening we have nice program coming up. We are going out eating with the whole big family. Even my cousins are coming. Going to be fun!
