Huomenna olisi sit laskettu päivä... Voin edelleen hyvin joten pidän ihan normaalisti vielä valmennuksia. Suvi on flunssassa joten tänään ei hypätä mun hevosilla. Ajattelin sen takia kertoa vähän enemmän miten valitsen hevosia ja millä perusteella. Mähän olen tosi vahvasti fiiliksellä menevä tyyppi mutta pyrin pysymään jossain systeemissä aina koska muuten riskit alkavat olemaan vähän liian isot :) Ostan hevosia niin kyvyn ja luonteen mukaan, kun niitten ulkonäön perusteella. Ulkonäöllä en tarkoita sitä että onko kaunis vai söpö vaan onko se sopusuhtainen ja vahvaluustoinen. Tärkeätähän on että hevonen on terve.
Hevosen ostaminen on aina riski ja se kannattaa kyllä aina muistaa, virhearviointeja sattuu kaikille. Tällä hetkellä kaikki mun hevoset ovat myynnissä paitsi Vaillant, se on ostettu sillä ajatuksella että sitä ei koskaan myydä. Jos haluaa korkealla tasolla kisata niin pitää olla kans mahdollisuus pitää ainakin yhtä hyvää hevosta, ja Vaillant on se hevonen minulle. Yhteystyö hevoseen on niin tärkeää ja sen hiominen ja parantaminen pitää olla pitkäjänteistä.
Vaikka hevoset ovat työni niin ne ovat myös intohimoni, ja rakastan jokaista yksilöä. Parasta hevosissahan on just se että ne on kaikki erilaisia ja kaikilla on oma persoonallisuutensa.
Yksi tärkeimpiä luonteenpiirteitä mitä haen mun hevosissa on yhteistyöhalu ja halu kehittyä.

Tärkeintä on kans ratsastettavuus tai mahdollisuus kehittää sitä ja että ne ovat hyviä käsitellä. Hankalia hevosia vältän, ihan vaan sen takia että haluan pystyä luottamaan niihin ja että koko tiimi osaa käsitellä niitä.
Minussa on kans vahva voitontahto joten minulle sopivassa hevosessa löytyy rohkeutta, varovaisuutta ja nopeutta.
Jokaisessa hevosessa löytyy heikkous tai heikkouksia mutta niistä ei saa pelästyä eikä niistä saa tehdä ongelmia vaan niitä pitää työstää ja niin kun ihmisissäki niin pitää pyrkiä pitämään hevosen itseluottamus korkealla ja heikkouksia työstää niin että niistä tulee vahvempia ja että hevosen itseluottamus paranee myös hankalissa asioissa.
Vaillantin vahvuudet on vahva kroppa, vahva tahto tehdä kaikki oikein, se on rohkea ja lempeä. Nöyrä tekemään töitä ja se omaa super hyvän laukan. Kykyä sillä on kans rutkasti. Vaillantin heikkoudet on että se on välillä turhan vahva (tosi vahva), ja tekee omia ratkaisuja kun se pääsee päättämään asioista, eli me työstetään tosi paljon sen kuuntelevaisuutta ja atleetisuutta.

So tomorrow is the due date! I´m still feeling really good so I´m going to have my trainings normally. Suvi is ill so we won´t jump the horses today so I thought that I could tell you more about how I choose horses for myself. I tend to go a lot on my gut feeling so I try to hold on to some kind of system when buying or trying horses. When I buy horses I look at their capacity and temperament, I also look at their appearance, not if their are cute or beautiful but what kind of body they have and if they have good proportions. It is pretty important because you can see by looking at the horse if it is a healthy individual and that´s what we want.
It is always a risk to buy a horse, and everybody makes sometimes bad decisions when buying horses, this is good to remember. Mistakes happen to the best.
For the moment all my horses are for sell except Vaillant, to compete at high level it is important to have one horse that can do the big classes on. You also need time and no pressure to develop a good connection to the horse, and for me Vaillant is the one.
Horses is my job but they are also my passion and I really love each one of them. That is also one of the best thing about horses, they are all different individuals and personalities and you need to create an own connection to each of them. So one of the things I look the most of in a horse is how it works with me and will I be able to develop it like I want.
I also put a lot of weight on rideability and that they are easy to handle.
I love to win so a horse that suits me has to be brave, quick and careful. All horses have a weakness or weaknesses, but you shouldn´t be afraid of that, just be aware of them. And know what you can deal with. That´s really important, to work on weaknesses without taking the self-confidence away, doing it properly you will have a horse whose weakness won´t shine thru so much when you´ve done it right. It´s very important to know when you buy a horse, know what you can deal with, with help from somebody else or by yourself.
Vaillant's strengths are that he has great scope, super gallop he loves to work and is careful and smart, his weakness is that he is really strong, and when he gets to choose he can be crazy strong. We work hard on his rideability and try to make him atheltic instead of running away and being strong, which sometimes seems easier for him.
